Dr Kate Browde is a specialist paediatrician and Allergist. She completed her specialist training in Paediatrics at Red Cross Children’s Hospital and received her Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics from UCT. She is a member of The Allergy Society of South Africa and obtained her Diploma in Allergology from the Colleges of Medicine in South Africa in 2017. She then completed her fellowship in Paediatric Allergology at Red Cross Children’s Hospital. She has presented on numerous Allergy Masterclass webinars, has written for the Allergy journal “Current Allergy and Clinical Immunology” and regularly examines in the allergy Diploma Exams.
Kate is a sensitive and open-minded paediatrician who understands the complexity and vulnerability of being a child’s caregiver and specifically understands the added complications of chronic allergic disease. She has always had a clear vision of providing a safe and non-judgemental space for children and their parents to access healthcare and is so very excited to be looking after the wonderful families who come to the KidsAllergy Centre and to walk their allergy journeys with them.
She lives in Vredehoek with her husband and two delightful children; nearly-4-year old Jesse and 9 month old Hannah
